INKED BACKGROUND CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.

So glad it's a little cooler at the moment, and I do hope the weather where ever you live is being kind to you all.

I try in my crafting life to try lots of different types of crafting skills I have not tried before.
So today I have card that I have been working on over a few days.
My new skills I have tried are inking backgrounds, and stencilling.

Sorry this is a long winded explanation of how I created this card.
This is a 8"x8" size card.
I started by putting DI Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Dusty Concord on my glass matt added water and dabbed my card into the wet inks.
I did this about 5 times drying it in between with my heat gun till I liked it.
I then sprinkled water over it and dried it again.
Buy this time my new Distress Oxide inks turned up from my order.
So inked the edges with Worn Lipstick DOI.
I then stamped a words background stamp all over it with London Fog Ink.
On the front I stamped some Dragonflies with Cracked Pistachio DOI.
I then used a stencil from Imagination Crafts with the bird and the branches, and Inked it with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I also stencilled around the edges with Imagination Crafts Agean Starlights Paint.
I then used a Glitter gel pen on the branches and the bird.
I inked some more card with DOI Worn Lipstick, Cracked Pistachio, Broken China, and stencilled another bird, and decoupaged it.
Made my flowers with a cheap die and hand cut and coloured my leaves.
Nearly forgot to say I used Snippets to make the bird, flowers, and leaves so I will be joining my playground friends in the Snippets plaground with this.

Hope you like my dabble into inked backgrounds.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARD

Hi and welcome to all my craft loving friends, and visitors.

Wow has it been hot this last few days.
We had a massive thunder storm overnight, but it's still been hot and muggy today.
I am not good in the heat it saps my energy levels to nil.

I have had a few Birthday cards to make for my Son and my Granddaughter's husband as their Birthdays are the 30th and 31st.
As each year goes by I struggle to think of what to create for them that I haven't used before.
Still all done and dusted now thank goodness.

I remembered  that I haven't shown this card I made last year.
Was not that pleased with how it turned out perhaps that's why I never showed it.

This is a 6"x6" size card.
I used my TL Kensington Corner Die that was given to me by my sweet blogging mate SueP.
I cut it out 16 times to create the corners, and the centre diamond.
The card is Creative Expressions Foundation Card in Blush.
At the time I didn't have a peach ink that I would have liked to have created the diamond centre piece, and I think what I used was a Chalk Ink that was too  orangy.

Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

There is always a wonderful prize to be won, and it means you get your Christmas cards made early.
So please pop over and take a look at the lovely creations my wonderful other Guest Designers have created.
So here is what I created this time around.

This is a 6.5"x7.5" size tent card.

I then cut out a frame in red card, and embossed it with a Crafters Companion 8"x8" size embossing folder which has lots of Christmas words in different fonts.
I then added die cuts with lovely stars on in white to the inside of the frame.
This die was a cheap purchase from
E Bay and made in China.
My evening image came from the Internet, and I added some glitter to the snow parts, and created some snow droplets.
Lastly I added some holly leaves and pearls as berries.

Thank you so much for your visit and the wonderful comments you make.

FIT BIT 8th BIRTHDAY CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.

A couple of weeks ago it was my Great Granddaughter's 8th Birthday, and my Daughter wanted a card to go with her present which was a Fit Bit.
I asked what colour Fit Bit she had bought her and it was purple so this is the card I made her.

I must say my Great Granddaughter Faye loved it, and thought it was brilliant to have a card the same as her present.

This is a 8"x8" size card.
I made the backing paper from the photo of the Fit Bit, and my 3D Decoupage CD which makes backing paper.
Just added some sequins, and a lovely bow made by Wendy to the card.

Thank you so much for your visit, and precious time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

FAVE SONG SHABBY CHIC EASEL CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.

Sorry I haven't been about much this week, but a neighbour had a fall, and as he is carer to his wife I have been helping as much as I can.

So today I did manage to have a play with some crafty items for a couple of challenges.
The Frilly and Funkie Challenge has a theme  sound of music, or maybe a fave song so this one of my DH fave songs as it has a special meaning to him.

I made an easel card , and the base I hope, I made look like a record.
My lovely pin and ribbon flower were made by Wendy our Team leader over at the MAWTT.
The lovely pin has a musical note dangling from it.
So thank you very much Wendy for these wonderful items.
Butterfly came off and old hair clip.
I forgot I have used  quite a few
snippets for my die cuts so I will join my friends in the snippets playground with this.

Thank you so much for your visit and precious time.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

Well as I mentioned a few posts ago I made a couple of extra wedding cards in case they were needed, and this is the other one.

This is just under an A4 size card.
The image and book design are from CraftsuPrint.
I cut out 2 and decoupaged the pages to give it the open book shape, and added it to a just under A4 easel card I made.
Covered the easel base with Ivory pearlecent card.
Decoupaged the roses and the butterflies, and added some pearl string beads from my stash.
The lovely lace is from the Works.

TISSUE BOX IN YELLOW AND GOLD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends and visitors.

The wedding went well and the sun was shining, but it was a tad windy, and the wind was quite cold.

Today I have my entry into the Butterfly Challenge which is a Tissue Box I made a while ago, and haven't posted yet, and as it fits the bill for the current challenge.

I used some holographic decoupage I have had for a while.
The Butterfly Border was cut on my ScanNcut.
Used Gold Rainbow Mirri Card for behind my die cuts, and my corners.
Gold pearls also.

Thank you so much for your visit, and I will try, and catch up on everybody as soon as I can.

WEDDING CARD AND BOX

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments on my last card.
I really appreciate everyone as it goes a long way with my self doubt about what I create.

As I mentioned yesterday I am showing my Granddaughter's Wedding Card and Box I made, was quite pleased with how it turned out in the end, mind you it was a pig to photograph because of the pearlised card.

Now because the above photo made the left side look warped, I photographed this flat for the next one.

This is a 8"x8" size card and box I made to fit it.
As stated yesterday I coloured all my peach card which started out ivory with Peach Bellini Ink.
I cut out the frame with Sue Wilson's Noble Pierced Square Die.
I then cut out 8 Tattered Lace Kensington Corner Dies for the lace inserts.
Computer generated Sentiment, and cut out with Ultimate Crafts Magnolia Lane Damask Frame.
Added some pearls to the corners and round the frame.
The larger roses came from the works, and I coloured them with Peach Bellini Ink.
The smaller roses I have had for a while, and I also coloured those.
The leaves I cut out of 160 gsm paper by hand and coloured them with green inks.
The ivy is a Sheena Die and I coloured those slightly too.
I also coloured the ribbon on  the  sides of the box, and round the box.
Sorry for such long details on my design.

Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.

HEAT EMBOSSED SERVIETTE CARD

Hi and welcome to all my very talented friends, and visitors.

Sorry I have not been around for a few days, but I have been making my Granddaughter's Wedding card.
Was having big troubles with the colour peach she chose for the Bridesmaids Dresses as I do like to incorporate that colour into my finished design.
So I had to colour most of my card with Peach Bellini Ink, and then wait for it to dry before constructing my design as it's pearlised card.
I am quite pleased with how it turned out, and will show it later this week as I know she doesn't know about my blog.

Today I have a card that has been Heat Embossed

This is a 6"x6" size card.
The design was a serviette that Mary my dear blogging friend sent me with her candy I won last year.
I started by putting a double sided sticky sheet behind the serviette, and then I put a snippet of card on the reverse of it, so I will join my playground friends in the Snippets Playground with this.
I then  used a Versa Mark clear embossing ink all over the front of  it, and then added Holographic Embossing Powder to it and heat embossed it.
Was quite pleased with how it turned out as this was my first attempt at this type of crafting.

Thank you so much for your visit.
Lots of crafty love.  JENNY.
